Sparkle Minnow
The Sparkle Minnow is a modern competition-style streamer built for fast-sinking depth and maximum flash. Its tungsten cone and minimal design gets it to the bottom of fast runs quickly. Fish it on a tight line with aggressive short strips to make the marabou breathe and the tinsel flash. It is an excellent searching pattern when fish are holding deep and aggressive jigging is needed to trigger strikes.

Materials
- hook: 3X long streamer hook #4–8
- thread: White 6/0
- head: Silver or gold tungsten cone
- belly: White or pearl bucktail
- flash: Pearl or silver Flashabou / Krystal Flash
- wing: Olive or gray marabou over body
Tying steps
- Slide a silver or gold tungsten cone onto a size 4–8 3XL hook; mount and start white thread.
- Tie in a small bunch of white or pearl bucktail as a belly at the bend.
- Add 4–6 strands of pearl or silver Flashabou over the belly.
- Tie in a bunch of olive or gray marabou as the main wing.
- Add a collar of white or gray marabou just behind the cone.
- Build a neat thread head against the cone; whip finish and cement.
- Apply two coats of UV resin over the thread head, curing between coats for maximum durability.
- Inspect the lateral Flashabou strands from the side — they should flare outward slightly, mimicking a baitfish's lateral line.
- Apply no waterproofing — the hook should ride hook-point-up to avoid snagging on debris in streamers.
