Prince Nymph
The Prince Nymph is one of the most reliable attractor nymphs ever developed. Its white goose biot wings, peacock herl body, and brown hackle create a fly that fish simply cannot ignore. Effective all season on virtually any trout water, it is most often fished under an indicator or on a Euro-nymphing rig. Tied in bead-head form it sinks quickly and produces fish in the heaviest runs.

Materials
- hook: Nymph hook #10–16
- thread: Black 6/0
- bead: Gold tungsten bead (optional)
- tail: Brown goose biots, split
- body: Peacock herl (2–3 strands twisted)
- ribbing: Fine gold wire
Tying steps
- Slide a gold tungsten bead onto the hook; mount and start black thread.
- Tie in two brown goose biots at the bend, splayed outward as a split tail.
- Tie in fine gold wire for ribbing.
- Twist 2–3 strands of peacock herl and wind a full, plump body to the 2/3 mark.
- Counter-wrap the gold wire in 5 spirals; tie off and trim.
- Tie in two white goose biots as the folded wing, extending past the tail slightly and angled upward.
- Tie in a brown hen hackle; make 2 soft turns and tie off.
- Build a neat thread head against the bead; whip finish and cement.
